NEW PROJECT – 5E and Pathfinder Notebooks

Hi everyone,

I hope you're enjoying your Fantasy Character Kits, and are having fun filling your games with unique characters. I'm writing to let you know about our latest project, a collection of organisational tools for your tabletop role-playing games: Quest Journals! We are already fully funded, and have smashed three of our stretch goals.

Quest Binder – A  faux-leather ring binder with a magnetic clasp, card slots, elastic pen holder and front/rear pockets. Comes with a mechanical pencil and a 100-page Insert Pack of your choice tailored to either game masters (of any system), 5E players, or Pathfinder 2E players.

Quest Notebook – A wire-bound hardback notebook with elastic strap and rear pocket. Available in three versions designed for game masters (of any system), 5E players, or Pathfinder 2E players.

(Closing Update) Roll & Play: The Fantasy Character Kit

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a final update on the fulfilment of Roll & Play: The Fantasy Character Kit. We received backing from an incredible 5,106 backers – the demand for this book was amazing, and the reviews we received from our backers around the world on their rewards have been really complimentary, which is wonderful to hear!

There are currently 131 BackerKit pledge managers that are outstanding from backers. If you haven't yet filled out your survey, please do, so you can receive your rewards! If you are in this group but have lost your original email, you can generate a new survey here. There are 6 pledges that are still failing payment, these backers have been contacted and asked to update their payment information.

All books were shipped out in November 2021, so if your Fantasy Character Kit hasn't arrived, and we haven't been alerted to the situation, please contact us at [email protected] (or send us a Kickstarter message) so we can look into this for you as soon as possible.

Other than outstanding pledge managers and failed payments, I am not aware of any other issues with reward delivery, so I am very excited to mark this project as complete!

Thank you all for backing this campaign. It has been an amazing adventure and a lot of hard work, we have learnt so much, and we have loved every second of it – I hope that this shines through in the books you have received.

Our New Sci-Fi Project

We launched a brand-new Kickstarter campaign last week – if you liked The Fantasy Character Kit, you'll love The Sci-Fi Character Kit and The Game Master's Sci-Fi Toolkit! The Books Are Shipping As We Speak!

Wishing you all a very happy Friday. This has been a really exciting week for us at Roll & Play Press HQ, as we have been working with our logistics partner to ship The Fantasy Character Kit all over the world!

It has been really great to hear that some backers have started receiving their rewards already. If you have, please let us know in the comments below what you think of your new book!

Shipping Progress

Our logistics partner began the shipping process with all the pledges that contained a single book, and then moved on to packing the larger, more bespoke orders. The team have almost finished this stage, so everything should be with postal carriers by mid next week. It won't be long until a package full of exciting rewards will be arriving at your door!

Following this, the logistics team will focus on posting rewards to backers who were delayed in filling out their pledge manager and the late pledges.

Tracking Information

Your tracking information has been sent to the email address you used to back this project. If for whatever reason you have not received your tracking information, please check your BackerKit portal using the instructions below (or get in touch with us).

Step 1) Log into your backer account on backerkit.com

Step 2) Click on your Roll & Play: The Fantasy Character Kit pledge. This project may appear in your 'Past Projects' tab at the top of the screen.

Step 3) In the 'Track Your Package' and 'Shipping Info' sections, you will be able to see your tracking number and your shipping address.

Delivery Times

Once your tracking status updates to confirm your package has been shipped, you can roughly expect delivery within the windows below. Due to the ongoing pandemic, global postal systems are currently experiencing delivery delays, so these times may vary.

• United Kingdom: 3-5 working days
• EU/United States: 7-10 working days
• Rest of World: 10-24 working days

Book Production Complete, Shipping Is Up Next!

Hi everyone,

I hope you're doing well, and have had a great first half of your week. Here are some updates on the progress of physical fulfilment so far!

When are rewards being shipped?

The printing and binding is now officially complete, meaning the books and all other physical rewards are ready to go! The pallets containing The Fantasy Character Kit are currently making their way to our warehouse. Once our logistics partner has organised the stock, they will begin shipping your rewards early next week.

Sorry this is about a week later than we'd scheduled at the beginning of the project, due to our printer's binding machine breaking down, but hopefully you'll be glad to hear the books will be with you very soon!

Will I receive tracking information?

Your tracking information will be sent to the email address you used to back this project, this will be staggered by our logistics partner over the next week or so. If for whatever reason you do not receive tracking information by the 15th November, please get in touch. Your tracking numbers and carrier information will also be uploaded to your BackerKit portal – to view this once shipping begins, please follow these steps:

Downloading Your Digital Rewards

Hi everyone,

The day is finally here, your digital downloads are now available! By now, you should have received an email from BackerKit with a list of unique coupon codes (please check your junk email). These codes will allow you to download your rewards through our website. The instructions on how to claim your items are included in the link sent to you by BackerKit, but I am also including them below for your reference.

Please note:

• The website is likely to be busy for the next couple of hours due to the significant increase in traffic with backers claiming their digital rewards. If you are finding that the website seems slow, or is not loading a page for you, we would recommend coming back and trying again a little later.
• If you have backed this Kickstarter as a gift for someone else, we would recommend sending them the coupon codes and the instructions, as all digital downloads are watermarked with the name and email address of the user redeeming the coupon. These watermarks appear in the top margin of each page, and are unobtrusive.

How to download your digital rewards:

I have put together a tutorial video that guides you through how to download your digital rewards, there are also written instructions beneath it. Step-by-step screenshots are included for assistance in the picture gallery on the Kickstarter: Pledge Ticket page on our website.

• On the Roll & Play Press website, add the Kickstarter: Pledge Ticket to your Basket (via this link, www.rollandplaypress.com/product/kickstarter-pledge)
• Go to your Basket.
• One at a time, enter the unique coupon codes sent to you via BackerKit. Make sure you add these to the Coupon field, do not add them to the Gift Card field as they will not work.
• After you have added all of your coupon codes, click Proceed to Checkout.
• Add your details to create your Roll & Play Press account (where you can download your products) and click Place Order.
• Once you place your order, links to your new digital downloads will appear on your screen. These links will also be attached to your order confirmation email. Clicking these links will download products to your device.
• You can also access your digital downloads any time from the Downloads panel in the My Account section of this website.

If you have any issues redeeming your rewards, please send us a Kickstarter message or get in touch at [email protected], and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

If you would like us to delete your Roll & Play Press account once you have finished downloading your digital rewards, drop us a message and we can do that for you – please note, you will not be able to download extra copies of your digital rewards in the future if your account has been deleted.
