Locking Orders in 48hrs / Charging Cards on Friday

Hi everyone,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Here's an update to let you know about some upcoming dates and recent events.
Pledge Managers Locking
You only have 48 hours left to make any last-minute changes to your Kickstarter pledge rewards, your orders will be locked on Wednesday 30th June. Our original date for locking pledge managers was Friday 25th June, but we have pushed this by a few days because our (very exciting) Critical Role sponsorship went live last Thursday – and that meant we had a lot of messages and comments to reply to!
This hasn't had any impact on our delivery date, and the project is still on track to begin shipping in October this year.
Charging Cards
Your cards will be charged this coming Friday for any additional add-ons, shipping weight changes or outstanding balances.
Please make sure that the cards you have saved on your pledge manager have not expired and have the amounts needed on them before this date, so there aren't any issues. If there are problems with taking payment, you will be alerted by BackerKit, and they will try again a couple of days afterwards.
Address Locking
You won't be able to change your pledge rewards from Wednesday, but you can change your addresses until Thursday 9th September. So, if you're moving house between now and then, don't worry! Head over to your pledge manager and update your address before early September and we will send your correct address to our logistics partner when we export our backers' data.
If you are moving after that date, and you aren't sure of your future address, we would recommend updating your pledge manager to a friend or family member's address so that your package isn't lost.
Project Timeline
The current project timeline is as follows:

Backer Cards Charged – Friday 2nd July 2021*

Hi everyone,
I hope you're all having a great start to June so far! We've been working hard on The Fantasy Character Kit here at Roll & Play Press HQ, and wanted to share some exciting updates with you.
The Player's Notebook Samples
We recently received some samples of The Player's Notebook from our printer. As soon as they arrived we ripped open the box and started flicking through – they look great! I'm really happy with them, and they're going to be such a helpful organisational tool for players to use during a campaign. Take a look through:
If you ordered a copy of The Player's Notebook, it will be delivered at the same time as the rest of your rewards later on in the year.
The Fantasy Character Kit Schedule
We have been busy writing and designing The Fantasy Character Kit, and it's coming along really well. The book is over halfway complete, and we expect to finish writing and designing the first draft in late summer. From there, we will send it to be proofread and amend or polish anything that needs to be amended or polished. I'm pleased to update you that this project is still on track to begin digital and physical fulfilment in October 2021!
This book has been an absolute joy to write, and my co-author Beth and I are having a lot of fun putting it together. Here's a sneak peek, the pages below contain 20 magic items for rogues and thieves, and lots of different ideas for cons and scams that you can run in-game to make some quick cash:

Over 90% of you have completed your BackerKit pledge managers already – that's amazing news, thank you so much for turning them around so quickly! If you haven't received yours, or have misplaced the email, you can generate a new pledge manager with a click of a button here. If you're having trouble, or if you have any other questions, send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
There's only 2 weeks to go before we lock the pledge managers. If you have any last-minute alterations that you would like to make to your rewards, now's the time to do it – you can use the same link as before to access your pledge manager. The date we are going to charge backers' cards has been pushed forward by a few days, this was to give us some more time to identify any possible payment issues across the completed pledge managers before we charge cards. The upcoming timeline is as follows:
Pledge Managers Locked – Friday June 25th 2021
Backer DebitCards Charged – Friday 2nd July 2021*

Pledge Manager Rollout in Progress!

Hi everyone, I hope you're doing well!
Our pledge manager has now been set up and is being sent to ALL backers in batches. This delivery process will continue to run automatically over the next few days, so everyone should receive their email by Saturday evening (UK time). A company called BackerKit are distributing the pledge manager links, so keep your eyes peeled for their name in your Inbox (and Junk folders just in case).
When you open your pledge manager, please check that your name, location and pledge level are all correct. If everything looks good, go ahead and click the 'Get Started' button. If something doesn't look right, please click on the 'Need Help?' button to contact BackerKit support and they will be able to advise you or resolve the issue.
In the pledge manager, you will be asked a few important questions about your pledge and gain access to the Add-On Store – it's here you can add extra books, notebooks, art prints, bookmarks and more to your existing pledge rewards. At the end of the pledge manager you will be asked to enter your shipping address (if receiving physical rewards) and payment information for anything you've added to your pledge. It's as simple as that, and should only take around 5 minutes to complete!
You have until the end of June to complete your pledge manager. It is likely that backers who complete after this time will have later shipping dates than October 2021.
Don't forget, if you're interested in The Player's Notebook stretch goal, you can pledge for a copy in the Add-On Store! If this item is requested by 350 or more backers it will be unlocked. You can read all about it in Project Update #14.
Upgrading Your Pledge
If you would like to upgrade your pledge to a higher level, click the 'Switch Your Pledge Level' button after opening your pledge manager (as shown below). This will take you to a page where you can change your pledge level and will make sure that your pledge manager is set up with the relevant questions for that level.

Our current timeline is as follows (I will send an update before these dates to keep you posted, or alert you if any of these dates change):

*Please note, if you choose to pay for any outstanding balances or add-ons through PayPal, payment will be taken as soon as you complete your pledge manager. If you pledge for and pay for The Player's Notebook via PayPal and it is not unlocked by the 25th June 2021, you will receive a refund for the notebook soon after the Pledge Managers Locked date.
If you do not receive a link to your pledge manager by Monday 10th May, then please send us a Kickstarter message or email, and we will be able to guide you to your link or send you a new one.

Stretch Goal Unlocked: The Player's Notebook!

Hi everyone,
Wow – well, I wasn't expecting to be sending this update out just a day after the pledge manager was distributed. Amazing news, your support has made The Player's Notebook a reality, more than 350 copies have already been ordered by backers! The notebook will now go into production at the same time as The Fantasy Character Kit.
If you pledged for The Player's Notebook in your pledge manager, it will be shipped with the rest of your rewards later in the year.
If you haven't yet completed your pledge manager and would like The Player's Notebook, you can purchase it in the Add-On Store when you complete your pledge manager.
If you have already completed your pledge manager and didn't pledge for The Player's Notebook but would now like a copy, you can go back into your pledge manager using the same link as before and click on the 'Edit Your Order' button, then pick one up in the Add-On Store (before Friday 25th June 2021 when the pledge managers are locked).
A printable PDF version of The Player's Notebook is now in the Add-On Store (RRP £4.00)! These printable sheets include all 20 page types from the notebook in an A4 format.

As we've reached our goal, two new bundles have been added to the Add-On Store:

If you pledged for either of the notebooks and would now like to replace them with a bundle, you can go back into your pledge manager using the same link as before and click on the 'Edit Your Order' button. Head over to the Add-On Store and remove the notebooks from your order, then add in your preferred bundle instead (before Friday 25th June 2021 when the pledge managers are locked).

Stretch Goal Update: The Player's Notebook

Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. We have been working hard behind the scenes on Roll & Play: The Fantasy Character Kit, and wanted to update you on a couple of exciting things.
Pledge Manager Launch
We will be launching the pledge manager through BackerKit in the first week of May. Kickstarter have now released the project funds to us, so we are working with the BackerKit team to prepare the pledge manager for its launch. If your payment failed during the campaign, don't worry, as you will still be sent a link to the pledge manager where you can correct the payment via PayPal or an alternative payment method. I have sent backers with failed payments a message to let them know.
Meanwhile, the book is progressing really well, and we're still on track to begin shipping in October 2021 as planned!
The Player's Notebook
Stretch goals will continue in the pledge manager – if funds raised bring the overall campaign total to £200k, the Artificers & Tinkerers limited edition cover stretch goal will be unlocked; if we reach £300k, the Barbarians & Mercenaries limited edition cover stretch goal will be unlocked. If we meet these goals, I will let you know via an update, and you will have plenty of time to adjust your rewards if you would like to.
However due to popular demand, a new BackerKit feature, and helpful discussions with our printer, The Player's Notebook will work a little bit differently!
How Do We Unlock The Player'sNotebook?
The Player's Notebook is still a stretch goal, but we are using a new BackerKit feature that will allow us to unlock the notebook if enough backers add it to their pledge. If we hit 350 pledges for notebooks in the pledge manager then the goal will be met, and we will be able to start a print run for these super handy books. The pledge manager has a live tracker, showing all backers how many notebooks have been ordered and how close we are to unlocking it.
How Do I Add The Player'sNotebook to My Pledge?
If you would like to add The Player's Notebook to your rewards, you can do this in the Add-On Store within the pledge manager when it is live, and by doing so you will contribute towards the 350 notebook goal. If we hit this goal, the notebook will be unlocked, printed and shipped as part of the rest of your rewards in October. If we do not hit our goal, the amount you paid for your notebook(s) will be refunded to the payment method you used.
What Is In The Player'sNotebook?
The notebook is A5 size, 100 pages, and is great value at £9.00 – this book has plenty of room to follow your character across an entire campaign. Like Roll & Play: The Fantasy Character Kit, it is wire-bound so it can lie flat or fold in half to save space. It includes: a complete and embedded 5E character sheet, ammo counters, currency conversion tables, quest to-do lists, a spell slot manager, 4 pages for lists of your choice, 6 pages of map grid paper, 72 pages of lined paper to take notes during your sessions with space for footnotes, and more. On top of this, the cover is uncoated and 100% customisable, so you can paint it or colour it to match your character (or any way you want)!
Late Pledges
If you have any friends or family who would have liked to back this campaign and just missed out, you can let them know that they will soon be able to join the campaign as a late pledge for a period of time by clicking the 'Late Pledge' button on our campaign page from a desktop computer. This is effectively a pre-order store, with a final chance to access some of the Kickstarter exclusive rewards for this project. Once the pledge manager is locked we will also close late pledges, and all pre-orders will move to our website where the Kickstarter exclusive rewards will not be available.
